The Magic of John Williams

Last month my friend Sarah and I went to the Utah Symphony. (wow, I can't believe it's been a month) The Utah Symphony was playing the music of John Williams and the famous classical pieces that inspired him. If you haven't heard of John Williams he wrote very very famous music. Some of his pieces, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, just to name a few.
I like classical music and pop culture, this was perfect mix. We went with out our husbands because well they don't find the symphony or any classical music enjoyable.
My mom was in town she came with us too. We had a fun night! 
Before the performance began we got to take some pictures with characters from the movies. Chewie, some stormtroopers and at the end Gold Leader and Snape. I had fun acting like a dork. 


Afterwards we walked over to the new shopping center Downtown and ate at the Cheesecake Factory! Delicious!

Junk, Junk and more JUNK!!

Running Log #15 This new year I thought I would be better at staying off the soda, chocolate and candy. I had dreams of working out everyday, suffering through the tiredness from waking up in the morning, and endure the cold, the bitter COLD, to get up and run outside. Funny thing about dreams they don't always happen. My dreams were shattered in the middle of the month when the weather turned bitter. And the candy, coke and chocolate were too good to resist. I wanted to change that habit this morning. I went for a run. I was hoping to go longer than a mile or two. And I ended up going FOUR MILES!!!! Along those 4 miles, I felt the pain of not running after three weeks. The cold air burned my lungs and my feet were like ice blocks, screaming at me to stop. I didn't give up, yes I walked a bit but I wasn't upset that I did. I was moving more than I had before. Finally when I was all done I looked at my watch, 4 miles, 58min. Hard, yes! Worth it? Being sick wastes my weekend

I don't like being sick. I get sick all the time. Some one gets the slightest cold around me and then I am sick for weeks. I don't understand it. I keep a clean house. There is no mildew, or gross whatever lurking around in my house. I wipe down counters, clean bathrooms.  Sometimes I'm to much of clean freak. I think it's because I don't like being sick.  There were a few people at work that had been sick and now their sickness is on me. Last week, it was a cough that hurt so much that, I may or may not wet my pants. But in all seriousness. I thought that taking out my tonsils would solve my life problem with getting sick. I got a flu shot this year too.  The other thing about being sick that I hate is that I'm home sick and all I can think about is how dirty my house is and that I need to clean it. Laundry needs to be folded, floors swept and mopped. bathrooms too.  AAHHHH!!!! (cough, cough) Also I am not a huge fan of cough syrup...
